Character Design – Mrs Dyer

Below is my version of Sarah Hobley née Weymouth – Amelia Dyer’s mother, which I refer to as Mrs Dyer in my book. I did a bit of research on Victorian hairstyles and decided that Mrs Dyer, should have a Pompadour. Apparently the hairstyle was popular from the 1890s, so there’s a chance that the real Mrs Dyer did don this bizarre look.

About G. Olivo

I love children’s picture books, Disney and Pixar animation and a lot of my illustrations tend to reflect my love for comics, cartoons and picture books.
